I collect, restore and preserve original photographic works from the late 19th and early 20th century — especially hand-colored lantern slides, glass plates and early prints from Japan, Europe, the Middle East and America.

My focus is on Meiji-era Japanese photography, including the studios of T. Enami, Kusakabe Kimbei, Tamamura Kozaburo, Ogawa Kazumasa, Adolfo Farsari, and others whose work shaped the visual history of the period.
